We have another meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8th,
at the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
That meeting
will be for "ANYONE" who would like to attend and share any ideas they may have on further efforts we could take
to save the post office. I've been in contact with a staff member at Mike Kelly's (3rd District) office, and she is going
to see if she can make it - she'll let me know as soon as she can, as she's trying to "move around" some other commitments.
Hope you can make it to the meeting, as well!

The above picture "intentionally blurred" shows the community support
for the Grand Valley, PA.
The Grand Valley community turned out in
force voicing support for keeping the doors open for their community post office. Members of the audience (approximately 70) posed many
questions to the USPS representatives and did not hold back from showing their feelings and true concerns over this issue.
Concerns over the distance that will need to be traveled
to an alternate post office location were amongst the question raised. Also, the question "how would the closing
really save any money" was presented by one attendee, which in His opinion was not really answered by
the USPS representative.
One person stated that the closing of The Grand
Valley Post Office would harm the community and that the USPS was trying to save pennies in their community when they, the
USPS, could really save money by not investing millions to renovate old buildings in Erie.
The USPS representatives made it clear that there has been no decision made and that the audience should contact
their local government officials.
